"May your life be like a wildflower, growing freely in the beauty and joy of each day."

I met a beautiful family last week. We met at the park and walked around admiring the gorgeous setting that God shaped and created. We stopped by all of my "usual" stops but I wanted to venture to a different part of the park that I had not photographed before. I am so glad they were willing to follow my lead. The wildflower fields have just begun to flower. They are speckled with white, blue, yellow and a hint of pink flowers. Their family, stitched together by love and adoption, seemed to fit so naturally among the wildflowers. I have been blessed by adoption in my own extended family. Through multiple generations, through kinship, domestic and foreign adoptions my family has grown together to create the beautiful bouquet that I get to call my sisters, cousins, nieces and nephews. So it is always a blessing to photograph families who have been called to adoption. This sweet family was certainly a blessing to me! Photographing little ones is never an "easy" task and I've seen many moms and dads melt down right alongside their toddlers...but this mama and daddy were so gentle and patient with their kiddos. It was an excellent reminder for myself to be patient with my own boys. I hope they love the moments we captured!
